"The Toothless Wonder"

Denton came home from school yesterday with the Aztec Talon Newspaper and low and behold, he was in it. So here is a copy, just thought I would share it with you. It was picture day, and the morning after he lost his first tooth. He asked me if they had put his name in the paper as "Denton the toothless wonder!" What will he come up with next??

Much to everyone's dissapointment (HA! HA!), this week I had very little time to put together the original flashback friday post. I am however going to just post some pictures and a get well wish for Krista (my sister).

Here is a poem that Daison, my nephew wrote for him.

PAPA RUSS

Me and my grandpa make one heck of a team.

We've been farming' and ranching' since 1993.

I could certainly walk, but hardly talk.

But he still showed me all there was to know about the job.

Of farming', ranching', hay-raisin' and swine.

Yeah, I've known what to do since I was a little runt.

Yeah, I wouldn't trade in those times and those days,

For any amount of money a person could pay.

I wouldn't trade him for the world, that grandpa of mine.

Cause we have had too much fun and one heck of a time.

It's worth all that time and the fuss, to spend time with my papa Russ.

I don't want him to go but some day he will and I hope to be the one to take over the fields, where he taught me everything I love and know.

I Love ya papa Russ and that's the end of this show.
