PD identifies 2 found dead inside truck parked in Scottsdale

Slideshow SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Police have identified two teens found dead inside a truck in a Scottsdale parking lot on Monday.Officer Dave Pubins with the Scottsdale Police Department said police were contacted by New Mexico authorities Monday morning regarding two missing 18-year-old men in Carefree for a rodeo over the weekend. The boys' families reportedly became worried when they did not return home as expected on Sunday.Officials have confirmed Jessie Andrus and Michael Hillman, of Roswell, NM, were found inside the truck parked in the Scottsdale lot since Saturday.According to Pubins, telephone GPS helped police locate the teens in the area of Scottsdale and Pinnacle Peak roads, where their Dodge pickup truck was found near a Safeway grocery store.Officers' reportedly saw two people inside the camper portion of the truck, but they were unresponsive when police tried to get their attention.Officers forced entry into the vehicle and found both teens dead.Pubins said at this time it appears that both victims died from accidental carbon monoxide poisoning as a generator on the rear of the vehicle may have been running.Jerry Honeycutt attended Cave Creek's Fiesta Days Rodeo and saw both Andrus and Hillman compete.Honeycutt said Hillman took first place in his event."His horse would buck most guys off and he got him twisted and ended up winning the bronc ride. I mean hands down. He was the champion," said Honeycutt.

The Last Month...

Well it is undoubtedly that time of year......Time to get out and run, bike, hike, camp, and in general PLAYYYYY!!!! I love the crisp cool mornings and the promise of spring and new starts!! I could however do without this New Mexico wind, but it just serves as a reminder that mother nature is still the boss. Race season started out with the Canyonlands Half Marathon on 3-21-10 and this last Saturday was a 12 Hour Mountain Bike Race in Gallup followed by a gorgeous climb on the road bike up to Durango Mountain Resort from Durango on Sunday (Iron Horse Training). So this is it....hopefully another great spring and summer racing and playing with the kiddos......"Everyday is another chance to make your dreams come true."

The really sad part about this picture...is the fact that it was the end of the ride....AND I was at a complete STAND STILL!! Gotta love those clip less pedals!!! HA HA
Standing by Bakers BridgeMet these great gals on the road.....I knew Diana from Mountain Bike Specialists and got the pleasure of meeting her great group!!! GIRL POWER!!!

Running is Simple......

Expand your sense of fun.....I know I have so listen below: I think of some pretty weird crap when I am out running, biking, or trying not to drowned in the pool....here they are.

As a runner (if you are a runner or athlete), your definition of fun - which might once have included water parks, screwball comedies on DVD, relaxation and scrapbooking-must be, well, let's just say broadened and now might include the following screwball activities:
  • Waking up at 5:30 am or earlier to run 10 -15 miles
  • Running in the blistering heat
  • Running in the rain
  • Running in 400m circles....for the fun of it!!!
  • Feeling as if your lungs are about to explode
  • Paying good money for the privilege of turning your toenails black.....and then losing them
  • Any combination of the above
  • Feeling as if you have to do these things for your own well being!! (or so you don't get divorced and drowned the kids!!)

Sunday the weather was great!! I think and probably dare to say that spring has sprung here in the Four Corners....so here is what the kids spent the day doing (and every other day also). I drove by Lowe's and saw that the garden section was opening and it was almost like a strange magnetic field was pulling me toward it....however I resisted partly because if I start going there this early in season I will be BROKE and partly because I didn't want to jinx the weather!!

Four Months is WAY too long!!

Jentry's new room....this what I have spent a LARGE portion of last couple months doing....redecorating the house!!!

My two precious babies!!!

Tomboy Jentry...getting ready to ride horses...her FAVORITE thing to do!!

OK......Happy...Thangsgiving, Christmas, New Year, Valentines and St. Patricks Day! It has been four CRAZY and FAST months since the last blog post I had. I could say that a lot has happened and that I was just SOOOO overwhelmed that I had no time to post on here, but that would be a bit of a false statement.....I just got caught up with the whirlwind of life and didn't do it. Denton and Jentry are doing great and continue to rule our lives and this my friends is not a false statement! They are growing like bad nap weeds and we love every minute of it. Denton is wrapping up the last of his first grade year and little miss Jentry is two and a half years old with the attitude of a sixteen year old. I hope that all is well with everyone and no ill fortune has fallen on any friends or family. I missed many birthdays and for that I am truly sorry...but hey I guess that just means those folks didn't get another year older right?? HA HA....you wish!! We once again have a busy spring and summer planned and I will keep everyone posted as to the happenings in the Faver household. I will update the blog over the next couple days and get ready for regular blogging for ALL!!
